Emilio Juncosa, MD, FACOG, is a thoughtful and attentive physician who always puts his patients first. At his private practice in Pembroke Pines, Dr. Juncosa offers a plethora of gynecologic services, including well woman exams, medications and patient education on a healthy lifestyle, changes to hormone therapy, pelvic floor muscle therapy, and minimally invasive surgeries when needed. In 1980, Dr. Juncosa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with cum laude honors from Yale College in New Haven, Connecticut, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Yale School of Medicine, also in New Haven. He finished a medical internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 1988.
Ever learning and expanding his knowledge, Dr. Juncosa was previously an investigator for amniocentesis in the detection of amnionitis for Yale School of Medicine and a sub-investigator for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Juncosa is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He holds an affiliation with Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines.
